About the Artist
Batsaikhan Soyolsaikhan is a contemporary multidisciplinary artist living and working in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Since 2016, his artworks have continuously evolved as he has come to place environmental problems, daily life problems, the interior, and the exterior. He is inspired by everyday life, motivation, and history.
Batsaikhan. S has developed his artworks using acrylic, oil, wood, and other materials. He holds a BA in the Institute of Fine Arts from the Mongolian University of Arts and Culture.
Since 2021, Batsaikhan S has been working as Director at Blue Sun, Contemporary Art Center of Mongolia. His work has been exhibited in Biennials in Mongolia and the Prague Quadrennial in the Czech Republic. He organized “Bulag” Art camp 2021, “Zuun” Art camp 2022 and 2023, Art week 2022 Blue sun pavilion, “Selenge” international Art Camp 2022, “Best” exhibition 20th anniversary of Blue Sun CACM, “Hybrid connection” Korean and Mongolian Artist Exhibition, Seeing Asian trought Asian eyes Mongolian Korean artists exchange exhibition, Yoon Byong Hak solo exhibition, “Nuur”15thArtcamp2024 “The Post Nomadic Experience” 50th anniversary of Mongolia and Germany’s diplomatic relationship and Open Academy project in 2024 etc.
