Blue Sun Collective Exhibitions in Germany

The BLUE and SUN Collaboration is ongoing...

Organizing the Art Camp in Mongolia during the summer of 2024 has resulted in Blue Sun CACM being invited to collaborate with two German galleries.

The organizers have chosen about 30 artists to engage with and actively question their insights into Mongolian contemporary art in two German cities.

The first collaboration started with the 'KI$$ KI$$ KILL KILL- Shu Lea Cheang' solo exhibition at Haus der Kunst, Munich, 'an updated survey showing trash landscapes in formation and entanglement in the bio-technosphere'.

Blue Sun Collective has been invited to the opening of her exhibition with the Yondonjunai's 'Eating the Sheep Head' performance.

The combination of this performance and Shu Lean Cheang's exhibition was symbolic and intriguing. Shu Lean Cheang is a Taiwanese artist, visited Mongolia in 2023 during the 'Lost Rivers' International Art Project organized by the Mongolian Contemporary Art Support Association and Blue Sun CACM in the Gobi.

Collaborating and opening her exhibition was an honor because we value artistic initiatives, creative collaboration and it's core vision. During their travels in the land of authentic nomadism, both sides experienced the value of artistic friendship.

We, artists, observe in and out every instant. A single moment has the power to speak volumes and the beauty of collaboration is embodied in this moment.

The second collaboration between Mongolian and international contemporary artists continued at the Maxi Kunst Gallery in Nurnberg. Blue Sun Collective's diverse work was exhibited there. The exhibition had approximately 600 visitors, artists, and professionals in attendance. Several Mongolian artists who reside in Europe came to show their works, which included music and performances.

Tomas May warmly welcomed Mongolian artists at MAXI Kunst Space, who brought fresh bread every morning. Dashdemed Sampil, a Mongolian artist living in Germany, and the MAXI Kunst team guided Mongolian artists in various exhibitions, cultural organizations, and tours.

Also, Tomas Eller came to give an Artist Talk during the exhibition. His "cultural, historical, religious, artistic, and philosophical influence on the Mongolian Contemporary Art World Today" presentation was touching. His research and vue concluded that " we must learn something back from Mongolians" also reflected in us that we must learn something from them. Openness opens the vast. Beyond words, we all learn from each other.

It was profoundly creative experience for both sides, and it concluded with a traditional dinner filled with warmth and innovative plans for the future.

We exchange culture, art, values, practices, sharing and more.

We express our deepest gratitude to those who hosted us and assisted us with translations, organizations and other support.

We all speak the same language in art: less ego, more gratitude, and more collaborations inspired by art. The color of this is blue and the sun is visible.

Greetings from the realm of endless blue skies.

Ulziibat Enkhtur,
